The official pitch deck for ConGo is now available on the series main page! For the uninitiated, a pitch deck is generally a quick visual overview of a series’s main concept, characters, and story that aims to supplement the pilot when attempting to “sell” or “pitch” the show. Whether it’s your first time looking at ConGo (and you’re wondering why we keep misspelling a river) or if you’ve already read through the pilot twice now (and you’re wondering just how on earth the show isn’t already available on your streaming platform of choice), we’d love for you to check it out.
You’ll notice something distinctly "corporate" about the ConGo pitch deck. When we first approached the creation of a pitch deck for ConGo, Ian and I both discussed how we found the best pitch decks give a sense of the show through the formatting of the deck itself, even outside the words on the page.
Naturally – for a show about a summer sales program – that meant self-designing a mock ConGo recruitment brochure and replacing all of the recruitment copy with information on our vision for the series, instead. I guess I shouldn’t say “all”...we did leave a few recruiting gems in there. And to wrap it all together, we opted to present the brochure in its “found” location – that is, in the unsuspecting hands of college students across campus looking for their next “six-figure summer.” As an added bonus, you can find the unfolded brochure in all of its glory here. Heck, we’ll even send you a folded copy if you want.
